We come to you

Your home is the one place you should feel completely safe to speak freely. When that feeling goes — when private conversations seem to travel, when an ex knows things they should not, when a device or object appears that you cannot explain — it is deeply unsettling, and it does not switch off. A sweep replaces that unease with a definite answer.

We carry out professional counter-surveillance sweeps of homes across the UK, coming to you at a discreet time and checking the property properly — electronic detection combined with a hands-on, room-by-room physical inspection. Whether nothing is found, which is often the case and an enormous relief, or a device is located, you leave the sweep knowing the truth.

Signs a Home May Be Bugged

No single one proves anything. It is a cluster of them, out of character, that tends to bring people to us.

  • Private conversations come back to you. An ex-partner or someone close seems to know things said only within your four walls.
  • Objects that do not belong. A new charger, clock, smoke alarm or gift you did not buy, or something familiar that has been moved or opened.
  • A controlling or abusive ex with access. Someone who has had keys, stayed over, or done work in the home and had the opportunity to place something.
  • Unexplained interference. Buzzing on the phone, devices behaving oddly, or Wi-Fi you cannot account for — though these have innocent causes too, which is why a proper check matters.
  • A gut feeling you cannot shake. Often the strongest signal. If you feel watched or overheard in your own home, that alone is reason enough to have it checked.

What a Home Sweep Covers

We look for anything covertly capturing what happens in your home. That means listening devices and audio recorders — from radio-frequency transmitters to GSM bugs that call out over the mobile network and dormant recorders — and hidden cameras, including Wi-Fi cameras and non-transmitting devices we find by lens detection rather than by signal.

The search is thorough and physical, not a quick wave of a detector. We check the places devices are actually hidden: smoke and heat alarms, plug sockets and adaptors, phone chargers and USB blocks, clocks and radios, soft furnishings, air vents, light fittings and everyday objects. We combine that hands-on inspection with radio-frequency detection to catch transmitting devices, and lens detection to catch cameras that are not transmitting at all.

Why a detector app is not enough

Phone apps and cheap detectors give a false sense of security. An app can sometimes flag an obvious Bluetooth tag, but it cannot reliably find a concealed camera or a well-hidden audio bug, and it will happily show a room as clear when it is not. Worse, relying on one and getting a false all-clear can leave you less safe than before. A proper sweep uses professional equipment and a trained physical search — that is the difference between reassurance and a guess.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we hear most from people worried about their home.

You usually cannot be certain without a sweep, which is the point. Common triggers are a partner or ex who seems to know things they should not, private conversations coming back to you, or objects that have moved or appeared. A professional sweep combines radio-frequency detection with a room-by-room physical inspection to give you a definite answer either way.

Covert listening devices and audio recorders, hidden cameras (including Wi-Fi and non-transmitting ones detected by lens), and any transmitting device in the property. We inspect the rooms you are most concerned about — or the whole home — by hand and by detector, including smoke alarms, sockets, chargers, clocks and everyday objects where devices are commonly concealed.

Home and room sweeps start from around £499 and are quoted by size, since a single room takes less time than a whole house. The price is confirmed before we start, with no hidden costs. Email us the property size and your concern for a clear quote.

Completely. We arrive at a discreet time and in an unmarked way, sweep quietly, and leave no sign a check took place — which matters when the person you are worried about shares or visits the home.

We show it to you. Where it relates to an abusive relationship or stalking, we advise you to preserve it as evidence and involve the police rather than simply removing it, and we can document the find to support you and any protective action.

Yes, entirely. Checking your own property is lawful. It is someone placing a device in your home without consent that is unlawful — which is exactly what a sweep is for.

Either. Many people start with the rooms where they hold private conversations — a bedroom or living room — and we can extend to the whole property. We quote by size so you only pay for what you need.
